Description

Marcello Geppetti photographs the italian dancer Carla Fracci while she is preparing to dance at the Festival of Spoleto in June 1973.

She is one of the most loved dancers by the public, thanks to an exstraordinary artistic talent and a very strong personality.

She was able to comunicate art to people. “Art is culture and culture is commitment” she says to young people who still admir her today.

She came from a modest family, her father was a tram driver and her mother a worker. She was thin but very strong and determinated. In fact, she showed her free spirit around the world, challenging criticism and convention with elegance, intelligence and irony.
