Chet Baker in Rome, 1962

Description

Marcello Geppetti takes a photo of Chet Baker, while he is playing in a club in Rome. From the sequence of shots, it is shown that right after the concert the american musician goes with her girlfriend Carol Jackson to dinner. The eternal city is one of Baker’s favourite destinations. In 1960, while in Italy, Baker also acted a small part in the musical “Urlatori alla sbarra” directed by Lucio Fulci.
One of Geppetti’s pictures portraying the musician was personally chosen by the photographer and director Bruce Weber to be inserted in the cd cover of the sound track of his movie about Chet Baker: “Let’s Get Lost”.
