Marcello Geppetti photographs Charlton Heston and Elsa Martinelli on the set of the movie “The Pigeon That Took Rome”, directed by M. Shavelson in 1962.
Martinelli and Heston are the main characters of a story set during the Nazi Occupation in 1944. The American soldier Paul and Antonella, daughter of a Roman partisan, live in the same house, where a lunch based on pigeons is organized for Easter. They are the same birds that were used as traveling messengers among the troops. Will come a series of comic situation…
