Description

Grace Kelly and her husband Rainier III during an official visit to Rome in 1960.

In the gaze of the beautiful Princess of Monaco we read the story of an actress become Princess. Despite the opposition of the family, Grace Kelly achieves her dream to become an actress and wins an Oscar in the movie “The Country Girl” (1955).

Later, during the filming of “To Catch a Thief” (1955) she falls in love with Prince Rainier and decides to marry him, abandoning her film career. Many directors, including Alfred Hitchcock, continued to send scripts, but she rejected them. At that period, the Princess of Monaco was too busy to follow the label of the court. Also, she wasn’t able to save the Principality of Monaco from attempts to annexation by France of Charles de Gaulle.
