Description

A funny photo of Vittorio Gassman and Catherine Spaak on the set of the film “Il sorpasso”. The actors, on break from filming, are joking on the beach of Castiglioncello: the beautiful Vittorio Gassman improvises himself as a model and Spaak take some pictures of him. The film, a masterpiece by Dino Risi, with its tragic and controversial ending is considered one of the most representative cinematographic work of Italy’s well-being and economic miracle of those years, told through the journey by car from Rome to Castiglioncello by Bruno Cortona (Vittorio Gassman) and Roberto Mariani (a very young Jean-Louis Trintignant).
